Baby!

Baby!

Look who was brought into us this morning! This baby sparrow was rescued from the middle of the road and our head nurse Nicky kept baby incubated in her hands until the Pets and Wildlife Service arrived. Huge thanks to Chris at the rescue centre who tells us there are already a couple of other baby sparrows being nursed – so this one will have a ready made family! The sparrow had a feed here in practice as soon as Chris arrived as it had been chirping hungrily. We wish you all the best little baby.

If you do see a baby bird or young animal that is not in imminent danger, the RSPCA recommends that people don’t touch as parents are normally watching nearby and waiting until it is safe to return to their young.
