This is beautiful kitten Hunter who was in with us yesterday, helping us to announce that 387 Veterinary Centre has been re-accredited as a Gold Cat Friendly Clinic! The International Society of Feline Medicine’s Cat Friendly Clinic scheme is designed to help owners find practices that are recognised as being feline focused, and to help vet practices improve their feline service and implement supportive strategies to help minimise feline (and owner) stress on visits to the vets. We’re delighted, once again, to have retained the highest level of cat friendly accreditation, first awarded to 387 Vets in 2016 when we joined the scheme.
To meet ISFM’s golden benchmark, there are lots of requirements. These relate to feline-friendly handling and restraint, team training and continuing professional development, client communication, specific consultation requirements, building layout, feline-friendly facilities and equipment, hospitalisation and cage design requirements, clinical protocols and more!
