As part of May’s Veterinary Nursing Awareness Month, today we’re profiling Charlotte Radjenovic, our most recently qualified veterinary nurse on the practice team. Charlotte has fitted in brilliantly, joining us just after sitting her final practical exams last Autumn and was here when she received the exciting news in October 2022 that she had qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN).
In addition to her wide spectrum of routine nursing responsibilities in theatre, prep, the consulting room and surrounding in-patient care, Charlotte has recently become our Infection Control Supervisor. As well as publishing, recording and reviewing cleaning checklists and ensuring infection control protocols are implemented across practice, she is also responsible for running and reporting back on quarterly audits with the Bella Mosse Foundation to ensure the practice is consistently meeting exacting cleanliness standards. Charlotte is also training to become a Hills Ambassador on pet nutrition, she is supporting our Operations Manager Jo with clinical stock management and is also one of our practice fire wardens!
Did you know that all vets and vet nurses on The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons’ Register must complete and log a set minimum amount of relevant training to retain their professional status? Today Charlotte is at British Veterinary Association Live Congress in Birmingham to broaden her skills and knowledge over range of topic areas with up to the minute advice and learning. With over 60 speakers, more than 150 exhibitors and the opportunity to network with a huge number of like-minded delegates, we can’t wait to hear how she gets on. Have a fab day Charlotte!
