A big hello to adorable cocker spaniel Ozzy who came in to see us today to be assessed as a Pets as Therapy (PAT) dog. The charity Pets as Therapy facilitates animal assisted therapy, where pets go into institutions and organisations to bring light, joy and comfort into people’s lives. Ozzy already pops in to visit residents in a care home, but his owner wanted to make his visits and his status more official. We are sure the three year old will be a big star wherever he goes! Our Head Nurse Nicky, who is qualified as a PAT assessor, and our Practice Manager loved all the cuddles this morning. Ozzy is so super chilled, he looked like he’d settled down to sleep on the scales at one point!
