Last night was the second of two sessions run by our Head Nurse Nicky to teach pet owners how to recognise a pet emergency and what to do before they can get to a vet. Attendees applied their learning about bandaging techniques for wounds on different parts of the body and were taught how to give canine CPR and were able to practise on our CPR mannequin dog. They also had to think about what they would do in a range of potential emergency scenarios.
Feedback from the course was really positive. One of the attendees, Sarah, said: “Excellent. Thanks you for all the information. Very informative and hands on. Hand outs and first aid kits very relevant.”
Nicky will be running another course in September. For more information, visit the ‘Clinics and Courses’ page on our website, or phone our reception team to book.
