Baby chinchilla Patch came in to us this morning with a broken back leg after it had caught on his cage and his owners had had to cut the bars to free him. Unfortunately the 12 week old’s leg was irreparable, and Hamish had to amputate. We’re delighted to report that Patch’s surgery went really well and he was able to go home this afternoon for lots of cuddles and tlc. Get better soon Patch!
