The root – or nut – of the problem!

Poor Reggie came to see us this week feeling under the weather – he was not eating and had been a bit sick too. When we first x-rayed him, we couldn’t initially spot anything unusual. But on further exploration we could see an egg-shaped structure and an abnormal amount of trapped wind, indicating a blockage. Imagine our surprise when we operated to remove the foreign body and discovered it was an acorn! The first our Clinical Director has ever extracted from a dog’s stomach in 20 years in practice!
