Sharna came in to see us with an unusual problem last week. The two year old shih tzu cross papillon had been playing and had managed to get a toy wedged on her teeth! Hamish couldn’t prise the toy off, so he eventually had to use pin cutters – an implement we use to cut the metal pins for orthopaedic surgery – to release it. Sharna’s teeth were none the worse for wear, and she left the practice with a waggy tail. However, the toy didn’t fare so well!
