Supporting national Rabbit Awareness Week

June is host to Rabbit Awareness Week (RAW) which, this year, takes place between 27th June and 1st July. Rabbits are the third most popular pet in the UK, and RAW is all about raising awareness around best care to help pet bunnies stay happy and healthy.

The theme for 2022 is Room for Rabbits. Did you know that, as advised by the Rabbit Welfare Association & Fund (RWAF), a rabbit enclosure should be no less than 3m x 2m x 1m for a pair of average sized rabbits, regardless of whether they are kept indoors or outside? And that a hutch should only ever be a shelter or like a bedroom and never the sole or main accommodation? Follow this link for great advice from the RWAF on creating a happy bunny home.

Rabbits love companionship and are happiest when housed with one or more rabbit pals. But for behavioural reasons, and to stop the arrival of any surprise babies, we recommend neutering bunny companions. To help with this, and in support of RAW 2022, we’re offering 1/3 off rabbit neutering throughout the whole of June. Call us on 01922 411755 to find out more.

And for all bunny owners out there, make sure you take advantage of our free rabbit health and dental checks run by our Registered Veterinary Nurses. Call to book an appointment. All bunny attendees go away with a free goodie bag!
