Poor 11 month old springer Billy had to have emergency Saturday afternoon surgery after he snacked on some colourful stones at Pelsall Common! We were able to count 7 stones on the x-ray pre surgery – 6 clustered together in the stomach and one in the intestines. Fortunately Hamish was able to ‘milk’ the stone in the intestines back up into the stomach and remove all the stones through a single incision. Billy was in yesterday for a post-op check and is doing well – back out on lead exercise, but hopefully not eating any more stones!
