Why Join

Unlimited vet and nurse consultations

Worried about your poorly pet? Concerned about a new lump? Anxious about your pet’s behaviour? In need of a repeat medication check with the vet? When your pet joins our wellness plan, you’ll no longer need to pay a consultation fee when you come in. There’s no limit to the number of times your pet can see us (within reason!). We hope this will take the worry out of whether to come and see us, and unite pets with our vets more quickly for a faster fix.

Vaccination peace of mind

We strongly recommend vaccinating pets to prevent them from contracting a range of nasty and sometimes fatal diseases. All routine vaccinations are included in our wellness plan.

Many diseases can be easily picked up while out and about, by coming into contact with other infected pets or contaminated bodily fluids and can even be brought inside by us on our clothes and shoes. This is why we’ll most often recommend vaccinating indoor pets as well as those mixing with the big wide outdoor world.

Better to be safe than sorry. Our wellness plan will keep your pets on vaccination track!

Comprehensive all year-round flea, tick and worm prevention

Whilst fleas can cause allergic reactions, unbearable itching and pet hair loss, lay eggs in your soft furnishings and hatch into an indoor flea infestation, ticks can carry nasty diseases, as can worms. Did you know lungworm can be a silent killer of dogs, is carried by snails and slugs and can be contracted as easily as drinking water from a contaminated puddle? And that tape worms can be passed on by ingesting fleas (while worrying at an itch or grooming) or from prey in hunting cats? It can grow to look like long flat spaghetti strands, but most commonly appears as wiggly rice-like strands, and can be transmitted to us! And that roundworms can be passed onto humans through pet poo and make us ill?

Being on the wellness plan means we’ll comprehensively cover dogs and cats against these and other parasitic nasties.

Rabbits do not routinely need monthly parasite treatment, so to keep costs for rabbit owners down, we’ve excluded parasite prevention from the monthly plan.

Free home delivery of parasite treatments for adult cats and dogs!

For puppies and kittens up to 6 months old, we ask that you bring in your fur babies on a monthly basis for a weigh and worm appointment. We can then dispense the right product at your appointment according to your growing pet’s changing weight and check their health. It’s a great chance for you to ask us any questions, and for us to give you advice on how to help your fur baby grow up healthy and happy.

For adult cats and dogs, we will send you 3 months’ worth of parasite treatment quarterly, direct to your door for your convenience, at no extra cost.

If you are concerned your pet may have gained or lost weight and require a different dose of parasite medication, pop in for a weigh in and a health check with one of our nurses. Remember, it’s included in the plan!

We’re honest and transparent: what you won’t get

We want our Wellness Plan to be as simple to follow as possible.

With this in mind, the following is not included:

Medications and tests (in-house and external lab) remain chargeable.

With regard to consultations, any situation where we need to apply practical skills rather than our time and professional knowledge will carry a fee. This means that anal gland expression and nail clips are chargeable, as is additional diagnostic testing (e.g. eye stain tests or tear production tests) and the use of special veterinary equipment in consultations, such as blood pressure monitoring, a tonovet for measuring pressure inside the eye or a portable ultrasound scanner.

We’ve always believed in being honest and transparent and charging appropriately for all services we offer. This means we won’t be adding discounts to other services, such as x-rays, operations, dentistry as part of our Wellness Plan as we already consider we offer fair value for the high standards of care we deliver to your pets. We hope you feel the same.
