The third Monday in January is traditionally hailed as Blue Monday, the most depressing day of the year. So for today’s Facebook post we thought we would share with you an amazingly heartwarming story to brighten your day!
This beautiful cat was brought in to Birmingham New Street last week as a possible stray. One of our clients, Lucy, took her home and brought her in to the practice on Tuesday to see if she was microchipped, but unfortunately the cat – temporarily named Mabel – wasn’t chipped so we couldn’t trace and contact her owners.
Lucy took Mabel home, and not to be deterred, started searching online to see if she could find Mabel’s family. And incredibly, on Friday, she did!
Mabel, real name Storm, had been missing from home since Christmas Day. The family had been searching for her since via various websites and through Facebook in the hope someone would recognise Storm’s photo and get in touch. You can imagine their immense joy and relief when they received notification that their beautiful cat was safe and well.
Storm is now back with her owners – happy family and happy cat! Huge recognition to Lucy for her incredible perseverance, determination and success in getting Storm home.
